Even if you’re the biggest proponent of digital signage/communication services you still have to gain support from your bosses. But, do these decision makers really see things how you do? Are you prepared to answer the questions that your boss is asking?
(The term “digital signage” used in this writing includes all touch-interactive and non-interactive technologies.)
Here are answers to most frequently asked questions:
BOSS: How and will digital signage puts us ahead of our competitors?
YOU: Digital Signage is a highly efficient message/information delivery system to designated audience. However, a lot of companies already have digital signage services, as such that puts us already behind many of our competitors.
BOSS: How will digital signage help our overall business operation?
YOU: Like any of our existing departments that help us get things done more efficiently and with least risk, digital signage will serve similar purpose. Most importantly, it will help us to reduce the amount of time it takes us to market any of our new products and services. It can be done in real-time, whereas our current methods are costly and administratively complex.
BOSS: Will customers accept our digital signage strategy?
YOU: Yes! Today, digital signage is the most effective means for people to receive and access information about our products and services, influence their decision making process and keep them current on our company’s latest affairs.
BOSS: Did you investigate the technology?
YOU: I’ve looked into the many ways that we can use this technology. It will give us the ability to control and manage our communications conveniently and more efficiently. We can schedule different campaigns based on pre-designated events or simply react to important marketplace events. With this technology we can deliver videos, text, PDF presentation, media feed in real time, and much more.
BOSS: What skills do we need to FULLY implement and managent such a project.
YOU: We can budget for our own in-house team (IT, creative, management, etc.), including training, or outsource companies that possess applicable skillsets.
Interesting enough, I found a company (Golden Gate Enterprises, LLC) that now offers CUSTOM turnkey solutions for small and large companies. If we don’t want to budget for internal resources or technical and creative expertise to develop, deploy and then manage the entire solution, Golden Gate will deliver it for $1 a day. As such, our costs related to internal staffing, including an ongoing training and management of the initial and post installation solution(s) is pretty much eliminated.
BOSS: Are there risks of investing in such a projects?
YOU: As anything, investing in any new project involves financial risks, especially if we elect to hire and/or utilize our own internal resources (hired and otheriwise). However, if we obtain the services of Golden Gate Enterprises, we will mitigate the high of cost of skilled employees needed to create and manage such a service.
